Artists accuse music boss DJ Cleo of hitting on them

Award-winning producer DJ Cleo might be making popular hits, but some of his protègés say that behind the scenes his sexual behaviour is somewhat off-key.

Kwaito star Brickz, who has just parted ways with DJ Cleo's label Will of Steel Productions, is among those who are throwing a ton of bricks at the hitmaker and accusing the Mina Ngihamba Nawe star of sexually harassing his male musicians.

Singing like a canary, Brickz claims DJ Cleo doesn't even mind tapping your ass in front of colleagues.

He says DJ Cleo would spank them and caress them on the chin as if they were girls.

Another musician who was kicked out of DJ Cleo's stable for allegedly stealing an expensive cologne, Oscar Mgudlwa aka Mavo, claims DJ Cleo is either bisexual or gay because he has seen him spanking and caressing men.

Mavo says DJ Cleo once spanked him on his bum but "I told him where to get off".

The first person to claim that DJ Cleo was gay is singer and actress Kelly Khumalo. Last year she told Ukhozi FM that DJ Cleo spanked her ex Prosper Mkwaiwa's ass in front of her.

Dan Ariely's Predictably Irrational [link] is the latest book by a behavioral economist to hit the jackpot. The reason for its popularity is not hard to discover. The experiments that it describes are as titillating as they are ingenious. Here is one of them.

People were asked some rather suggestive questions, such as whether they would find it exciting to spank their sexual partners or to be tied up by them during the sexual act. After their answers were duly recorded, they were asked if they would be willing to respond to the same questions, only this time at the height of sexual arousal produced by masturbation.

It turns out that when we are aroused we are completely different than when we are not aroused: we are more hospitable to risk, more irresponsible, more emotional.

Ariely therefore concludes that people who have no idea what they will think or do when aroused cannot know themselves very well, and the implications are dramatic: "Our models of human behavior need to be rethought. Perhaps there is no such thing as a fully integrated human being. We may, in fact, be an agglomeration of multiple selves."

Does this mean that if during discussions that your partner has not been interested in spanking or other kinky sex, that you should get him to the height of sexual arousal and ask him again? Perhaps he will answer differently? Maybe it is worth trying ... regardless of what The Moderate Voice thinks [LOL]
